Meeting was called to order at 6:35 by newly-elected President Mike Lantz.
Mike presented the new 2009 Board of Directors:
President: Mike Lantz
Vice President: Pat Lavigne
Secretary: Terri Mathis
Treasurer: Marvin Mayer
Members-at-Large: Kassy Paris, Linda Ellis, Chris Garrett
Discussion then turned to the July workshop. The workshop is scheduled for July 18, the speaker is Nancy Masters. Her topic is Writing to Sell ? Selling What You Write. The cost of the workshop is $25 for members and $30 for non-members, with a limit of 30 people, due to room size.
Kassy Paris has a book signing 1/17/09 from 1 to 3 pm at Liberty City McCrary?s Chapel UMC
in the Fellowship Hall.
Robert Burns has book signings at Hastings on 2/14/09 from 1 to 3 pm, and at Barnes & Noble on 4/4/09.
Discussion then turned to marketing for a few minutes.
Kay introduced the guest speaker Cathy Rowe-Myers. Her topis was Writer?s Write, and a
lively discussion ensued during her presentation.
Mike told us that Mike Collins a private eye in Tyler is the guest speaker for February.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:40 pm by Mike Lantz.
